Our solution included a feature-rich geo-location mobile app for Starbucks through which users can order and purchase menu items to be picked up from the nearest Starbucks location. Each brick and mortar location had a designated area where users of the app can pick up their items without waiting. In addition to the app, we created a choice between standard menu items and better-for-you menu items that could contribute to a time-delineated weight management program. Our group also worked on product naming to introduce three new menus supported by their respective online concepts: Soup to Nuts, nut-based soups; Where Have You Bean?, bean-based soups; and What’s.up?, soups from different countries and cultures.
